The current values in this database are based on an assessment date of January 1, 2010.

The sales that occurred in 2008 and 2009 were used to determine the values for Fiscal Year 2011, which is required for certification from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

The overall value for the Town of Tisbury decreased by 6%. The total assessment for the Town is $2,558,966,837.

You may file an application for overvaluation, upon your receipt of the actual tax bill scheduled to be mailed at the end of December 2010. Applications must be received in our office by February 1, 2011 by 4:30PM or be postmarked February 1, 2010 by the United States Postal Service. Applications received after that deadline will are considered late filed applications.

All applications and exemption forms will be available on our website at www.tisburyma.gov.

As the tax rate is determined by what is voted on at the town meetings. It is important for taxpayers domiciled in Tisbury to attend the meetings and vote on the expenditures. The annual town meeting warrant will be on the town website the end of March 2011.
