The City of Quincy, MA has contracted with Vision Government Solutions Inc. (formerly known as Vision Appraisal Technology)of Northboro, Massachusetts to assist with the Fiscal 2012 state mandated revaluation project. The information provided in this database is the basis of the valuation for each City of Quincy property for the Fiscal 2011 commitment list. This database also provides the user with an explanation of the revaluation process and allows for questions regarding a specific propertys' description or valuation.

In 2002, the State Department of Revenue (DOR) identified that the City of Quincy's property assessments were undervalued. The Department of Revenue requires that municipalities assess all properties at 100% valuation and so required that the City of Quincy correct the situation.

The Board of Assessors has implemented this new software to properly assess all properties and ensure tax equity amongst our residents. We hope this helpful new tool also allows a better understanding of your property valuation and how that valuation is determined.

Both the Assessors office and Vision Government Solutions Inc. (formerly known as Vision Appraisal Technology)would like to thank the City of Quincy, MA residents for their cooperation throughout this important project.

If you have any questions about your property assessment, please call the Board of Assessors at 617-376-1170.

The Fiscal Year 2012 Tax Rates are: Residential $13.75 Commercial-Industrial-Personal Property $28.66
