The Information provided in this database reflects the new assessed valuation for each individual Town of New Hartford property for the Oct. 1, 2008 Grand List. This database also provides the user with an explanation of the revaluation process (SEE TAXPAYER INFORMATION) and an overview of the current market conditions.
***A Comment on Current Market Conditions*** Revaluations completed in 2008 are updating property values from those established in 2003.
It is important to note that although the current economic downturn has negatively affected property values, in most cases, those values have not yet declined to levels established in 2003. Therefore, values in your Community may still show an increase from 2003.
In the past few years many Communities had seen increases in the range of 50% to 70%. This year, increases are much less aggressive, as the market moves downward.
