Welcome to the Narragansett, RI Online Assessment Database. The Town of Narragansett has begun the State mandated full revaluation project. RI General Law requires that cities and towns do a full revaluation every 9 years with a statistical every 3 and 6 years. The new values established for the full revaluation project will be used for the 2012 tax billing cycle.
We are pleased to announce the awarding of the full revaluation contract to Vision Appraisal. The Assessor's Office is looking forward to the continued relationship that we have with Vision Appraisal, to ensure that the program results in fair and equitable valuation of all the properties within the Town's borders.
NOTE: VISION EMPLOYEES ARE CURRENTLY, THE WEEK OF JANUARY 30TH - FEBRUARY 3RD, WORKING ON DOING CALLBACKS AND INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENTS THROUGHOUT THE TOWN. A VISION EMPLOYEE IS ALSO REVIEWING THE CURRENT SALES THROUGHOUT THE TOWN. THERE IS ALSO A VISION EMPLOYEE TAKING INDIVIDUAL PICTURES OF ALL THE PROPERTIES, COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL, IN TOWN. VISION EMPLOYEES CARRY IDENTIFICATION BADGES AND AN INTRODUCTION FROM THE ASSESSOR'S OFFICE. VEHICLES USED BY THE VISION EMPLOYEES ARE IDENTIFIED BY AN "ASSESSOR" SIGN DISPLAYED ON THEIR VEHICLES.
NOTE: THERE WILL BE TWO VISION EMPLOYEES VISTING THE BUSINESS/INDUSTRIAL AREAS OF OF TOWN.
REAL ESTATE RESEARCH CONSULTANTS (RRC) WILL BE VISITING THE LOCAL BUSINESSES FOR A LISTING OF ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY.

The 2011 Tax Year Residential Rate is $8.97 and the Commercial Rate is $13.45. Both rates are per $1000 of valuation at 100% of value.
Appeals for real estate must be submitted 90 days from the tax due date and motor vehicles 30 days from the tax due date. Tax bills are due July 1st of each year unless otherwise noted.
