The Town of Mount Desert contracted with Vision Appraisal Technology of Northboro, Massachusetts to complete a full revaluation of all real estate. The valuation phase of the project is now complete. The on-line database reflects the assessments used in the current tax year, as of April 1.

Assessments are in effect for the current tax year at a tax rate of $5.89 per $1,000.00 of assessed value. An estimate of the tax can be obtained by multiplying the assessed value by 0.00589.

Any exemptions for which you are entitled are not included in the valuation on this site but will be included on the tax bill.
