FY2008 VALUES

Welcome to the Assessor's Online database for the Town of Edgartown, Massachusetts. The Town has contracted with Vision Appraisal Technology, Inc., of Northboro, Massachusetts to assist with installation and maintenance of the Assessing Department Database.

Edgartown completed a revaluation of all property this past March. The valuations presented here are for FY2008 (July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008) have an assessment date of January 1, 2007. These values have been certified by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. Values were updated based upon calendar year 2006 property sales. The FY2008 tax rate of $2.73 per thousand was certified by the Department of Revenue on 4/29/2008.

The website will allow the user to search for properties by street address, by owner name, or by map-block-lot. An explanation of the revaluation process is also available. We encourage taxpayers to look over the information on their property and contact us if any discrepancies are found. Accurate property data results in fair assessments for all taxpayers.
